As you’ve probably guessed, my name is Meghan, and I like to play video games. I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember, starting during the Nintendo 64 era – I’d credit a lot of those games with planting the seed of my love for video games.
I started this blog in the hopes to combine my love of writing with my love of gaming. I also have a tendency to overthink (spending more than 5 minutes alone with my own thoughts is dangerous) so what better way to apply that overthinkery than to analyzing some video games? My content on this blog ranges from reviews to more focused discussions (can we talk about the wordplay in Bloodborne?), but I’ll also post content that incorporates some more formal critical analysis. I’ve been dabbling with an “On Writing” series where I focus on writing tropes in popular media, including anime. You can check out how I approach my reviews here and my current review list here. If you’re interested in my other posts – like challenges, discussions, or pieces on writing – you can find them here.
I tend to spend my free time these days painting, playing Dungeons and Dragons (I have a slight obsession with dice now), reading a lot of books, and drinking way too much tea and coffee.
Hopefully you enjoy my content, but either way, thanks for stopping by, and happy gaming!
